- The 8" customer screen faces the guest, so tip prompts and signature happen on their side of the counter — no handing a 14" station across the pass
- Fires kitchen tickets from the same station: set the Duo as the default firing device under Setup → Devices, then route menu categories to the kitchen printer
- Employee logins switch servers between rushes without stopping the line
- Bundle ships with the receipt printer, so the cash drawer plugs into the printer's DK port and pops on cash sales without another purchase
- Runs the Clover restaurant App Market — table maps, coursing and online-ordering apps all install on this same station
Retail
- 14" merchant screen holds a long item list without scrolling — the reason to pick the Duo over the Mini at a busy checkout lane
- Customer-facing display shows the running total line by line, which cuts "that's not what I was charged" disputes at the counter
- Guest taps to pay on their own screen, so the cashier never handles the card — faster lane and cleaner PCI story
- Barcode scanner (Zebra DS9308 or DS2208) plugs straight into the station's USB for scan-and-bag checkout
- Weight scale integration is supported for delis and bulk goods sold by the pound
Automotive
- The 14" screen fits a full repair-order line list — parts, labour and shop supplies — without paging on a $2,000+ ticket
- Customer display lets the vehicle owner read every line before they approve, which is the whole argument at a service counter
- Separate employee logins keep service writers distinct on one station so voids and discounts trace to a person
- Runs on Ethernet at the parts counter, so a dropped Wi-Fi signal in a metal building never stalls the register
- Does NOT do dual pricing out of the box on our matrix — on high-ticket repair invoices, price that in before you promise it
